The Double Print Skirt is a design I'm thankful to God for. I don't know if it's been done before, as I've never seen one, but in my mind, it's original and unique in every way. Although it might look complex at first glance, the idea behind it is quite simple.
As pretty as the Double Print Skirts are, I know there are those who would rather not wear it for various reasons. Maybe it's not their style or they prefer to play it safe when it comes to fashion. There are others willing to take the risk but don't know how to pull it off. Perhaps they're unsure about what to pair it with. If you fall under any of the categories I've mentioned then allow me to suggest a tip that would either help you get out of your comfort zone or give you the courage to pull it off.
Pair the double skirt with a white shirt. I think most people can agree that a white shirt is a very essential piece for many reasons. Just in case you aren't convinced as to why it's essential, I'll explain.
First, it's a safe choice. Who's going to critique you for wearing a white shirt? Where are you going to go in a white shirt and receive condemnation? Not at work - nothing says professional more than a white shirt. Not at a social gathering - nothing is classier than a white shirt, if you pair it appropriately.
Second, it's attractive. There's nothing more visually appealing than a clean, crisp white shirt. It's so bright that it's as if it lights up a room. It catches the eye and demands respect.
Third, it goes with everything. When I say 'everything,' I'm talking about all colors and print. I dare you to show me a print piece that doesn't pair well with a white shirt. I'll be interested to see one.
I don't want to go on and on about white shirts, but I think you get where I'm going with this. The bottom line is that you cant go wrong if you pair the Double Print Skirt with a white shirt. For those that like to play it safe, the white shirt tones down the skirt and your entire look. For the rest of you - don't worry, a white shirt will always go with the double print skirt.
