'Mad men' inspired ankara outfit

First of all, today is my birthday! Happy birthday to me!!!!! This past year has been full of so many blessings. I am thankful, grateful and happy. One year older and one year more fab if I do say so myself!n:)
Now, on to this look. Both these ankara pieces are from my ankara fairy godmother, of course! Gifted to me at different times. Upon seeing the skirt on a separate occasion, Enma enthusiastically recommended pairing it with this orange ankara crop top. I wasn't completely sold but I was willing to give it a go. Colour me amazed how well the combo went together! I should have known Enma the styling genius couldn't be wrong lol. Yep, having a BFF with killer styling skills is a blessing!
To complete the look and give it a proper retro feel (yes, I adore all things retro). I chose these blue and red heels and blue drop earrings from Aldo, styled my hair in a quiffed updo and threw on these deliciously retro cat eye sunglasses from Unique Vintage. And because I can't help myself and I have a thing for bold lips right now, I went for bold cobalt blue lips courtesy of Kat Von lipstain.
I imagine this would have been my style in a Mad Men world. Tailored, vibrant ankara with a twist. Love it!!
