A red and black fallback festive look
Bloggie:
This is what I call a fallback outfit. That outfit you had to put together last minute because your original outfit fell through. In this case, wasn't delivered on time. Cue intense disappointment and annoyance. After having a mini hissy fit, I looked through my wardrobe and admitted to myself that I do have options and it was high time I got creative...yes! first-world-problems if I do say so myself! ;)
After a few hit and misses, I settled on this lovely red midi Modcloth skirt (a vibrant wardrobe staple) and this lace/see-through blouse from ASOS I've had for years. I accessorized with these seriously pretty 'Bonus Bauble' from baublebar (they gift you the cutest baubles when you spend more than $40). I finished up the look with opaque black tights and my floral accented peep-toe heels from Office I've had for almost 10 years. Yes, almost 10 years. My lil pride and joy. Years after I bought them, I would proudly brag how they were still sold by the brand for the same price for 4 years in a row....yes, I get smug about stuff like that lol.
Long story short, this is my take on looking festive in a subtle way. No bad for an outfit thrown together in minutes.
Red midi skirt - Modcloth
Similar lace/see-through blouse - ASOS
This month's 'Bonus Bauble' - baublebar
Peep-toe heels - as you would expect, not available anymore. These Stuart Weitzman heels on TRR are pretty similar.
