Trending - 80s demim jacket/oversized denim jacket
If some of us are honest with ourselves, we can admit that there was a time when we thought 80's fashion was quirky, wacky, over the top and just plain ugly. I know I felt that way when I was younger. Remember those shiny poofy prom dresses? Ugh - they were torture to my eyes.
However, as I've gotten older, my sense of fashion has matured, and I find myself falling in love with 80's fashion. I see beauty and potential in items that I once thought were a horrid offense to fashion. My appreciation for 80's fashion has increased so much that I gravitate toward them when I walk into a vintage store.
I guess I'm not the only one with an appetite for 80's fashion because many stores are carrying pieces that were featured in the 80's. For instance, oversized ripped denim jackets are back in stores. They were very popular in the 80's for men and women - sort of like bomber jackets. With rolled up sleeves or elbow length sleeves they were the signature hip and cool staple of their time. A majority of them were acid wash or light wash.
In today's post, I paired mine (not as oversized as most) with my navy blue paint splattered jeans. Remember to pair different shades when wearing denim on denim. I couldn't resist wearing my comic inspired wedge sneakers. I'm sure you can tell from the many pictures that I'm totally in obsessed with them. Super comfy!
I finished my look with my velvet mini backpack and my 'I Love Jesus' hat. I love love this look, if I may say so myself.
