Why You Should Invest in Red/Burgundy Outfits This Fall

It's that time of the year when burgundy resurfaces. No, I'm not talking about the autumn leaves - I'm referring to fashion. For as long as I can remember, burgundy has been a constant fall fave. This fall, however, there's an added twist. Burgundy has arrived in all its glory with the entire red family. I'm not just referring to maroon or dark red, I mean every red, including scarlet red! And it's fantastic!

Red means a lot of things to different people, but for me it means life. Red is life. Red is what flows through our veins and what our heart literally lives for. It doesn't end there. The color red is vibrant and indiscriminately flattering. In other words, you can't go wrong with it. Which is precisely why you should invest in red this fall. Besides the fact that it compliments the beautiful fall leaves, it also transitions nicely into any season.

On this crisp fall day, I chose to celebrate red by combining different shades. I also played around with different textures - suede over the knee boots (Unisa @ DSW), patent leather purse (birthday gift from my bff, Noma), leather skirt and a taffeta silk blouse. Everything about my look screams fall, and I absolutely love it!
